no, I am a lil late for this but better l8t than never.... Happy birthday MLK JR. I've actually had the privilage to read some his speeches, cuz i had to d a report, and he was a brilliant man....So glad we have a day recognizeing MLK jr, who is like one of the most important figures in American history, who dosn't get enough credit for his accomplishments. Its hard to believe that not to long ago, people held slaves here in america. But for personal gain, and greed, almost anything can take place here in america. Its even worse to think that some of those same beliefs and thoughts are still supported today. Ask yourself where would america be without Dr.King...Who died for his beliefs and freedom...
there were many others who fought for civil rights, but Martin Luther King Jr was the man who took it upon himself and raise his voice against those who believed in segregation and discrimination. he has made such a moving and crucical impact in not only american history, but in world history. a man of character and respect, one can only hope his work and beliefs will make people see the type of differences he made.
MLK was a great guy, good christian and a good person supported equality, not affirmative action crap, it's a shame he was assasinated, of the civil right leaders he was one of my two favorites(MLK jr. and Booker T Washington[promoted blacks earning respect and acceptance through hardwork] being the ones most admire)
