I'd like to have a rant, a gripe. The additude of a majority of the good renderers. The people who render images and get good at it often tend to post in the topic: "OMG check this out, perfect stuff blah blah" I thinks it's to other people to decided wheater your stuff is perfect or if it's "good". To me you sound like a 12 year old egoistic kid if you behave like that. We're all artists, the one is better than the other, but I've never seen somebody showing off a sig saying at the forehand: "OMG check this out, it's perfect blah blah". Don't get me wrong, the render can be perfect( ) but is there a sirous need to say that yourself? Can somebody explain why only people who do renders have this additude and why?
It's kinda like hearing some merchant say "Cheap things, come get them, best prices around the market!". They want to get their stuff looked at and used as much as possible so they auto-compliment their renders themselves.
Its to make them feel better about them self.. and to get more free creds or rep to make people think it really is perfect if the person is gullable enough to believe it is. I've always been anti-renderers attitude. Dont get me wrong. I <3 some of you, like shneaky...and kazuya is pretty good..but sometimes...idk
Yeah, all depends on the renderer. Some people think that their own s**t doesn't stink, while others try to get better, asking for comments, criticism, etc. I have never once asked for rep or creds. I only ask for comments and a link to your work if you used my render in a sig/wallpaper/etc. Confidence is great, as long as that confident person doesn't drown in it. Odds are the ones with the lofty egos are probably like that with other things in life, internet s**t aside.
I think its just for getting attention. If you see a title that plainly says "Ryu Render" vs one that says "The best Ryu Render ever" you're more likely to click the 2nd one. Sometimes you know in advance it won't be the best, but you click it anyways.
When somebody has stared at a picture for 4-12 hours, I don't blame them for being proud. [Opinion] I mean looks hard to render, and if I rendered somthing really hard, I'd gloat too. [/Opinion]
I have seen people working 50 hours on a piece of art and still wanting crits, I mean its only the ones who render who boats themselves up. I've been proud many times of myself still I've never said I/it is the best.
That's them. People have different personalities. Can't change them. Some people are humble, some people are proud. Just the way it works.
somewhere between 80-99% ofthe population is capable of doing perfect renders, it takes little skill but a lot of time. Anyone who overly brags is a retard.
