Okay, so I have some extra money and I was thinking which I wanted to get.

Can someone post the pros and cons of each and tell me their opinion on which they like more and why. It would be highly appreciate and I'll rep you whenever I get however many posts (150 or something, right?).

Well i just think generly that psp is better value for money you can watch films on it listen to music you have a web browser wich can get on every site you have games you can play online on the games you can dowload pictures music etc if you get a memory crad with it yesterday i put a 1gb wich i had to convert into a mp4 i think and it didnt lose any quality at all so i reckon psp is better

Woah, you can surf the internet on the PSP from anywhere?
The only thing about PSP is that it costs about $150 more than the DS and after that I'll be fishing out another $200 or so for the games, movies, memory cards and whatever else.

Will total up to near $600 :P

You can surf the internet on the psp anywhere where there is a wireless connection. I have a PSP and I am much more satisfied with it then the DS.

Although this is the 12039238594th thread about PSP vs. DS, I still say PSP. So much more you can do with it, movies, pictures, music, awsome games, great graphics, etc. It's great.

Nothing to intresting about a psp. Anything you can do on a psp can be done on a computer and a ps2 basically, except worse, and portable. At least the DS actually focuses on games that are good. Not to mention, the PSP's battery life is horrible to the DS.

edit: go ahead and flame me psp fanboys. :P

Well my fourteen year old little brother got a DS and I got a PSP shortly afterward. And yeah my PSP is pretty cool at first I thought I had made the wiser choice but I find myself snagging his ds whenever I see him and playing it. I really wish I chose a DS instead its actually something different rather then better graphics. I never use the psp for browsing bc anytime I need the net its not like someone has a non secure wireless connection nearby. I've watched a couple movies it was cool I guess. And I only ever play GTA. I really wish I bought a DS instead the games are fresh and nintendo actually stands by thier product (try getting sony to fix your dead pixel psp)

Thing is, I don't plan to play too many games.
I'm looking for an alternative since my iPod broke and my warranty on it is done. I don't feel like paying alot of money for them to fix my ipod, since it'll probably ---- up again in a few months.

I'm prob gonna get PSP, even though it costs so much more.

Both don't really have many good games. I use my DS more because I only have GTA for PSP, which IMO, is one of the only games actually worthy buying. I can at least play a few different games on DS.

Heh, I've played on both, but yeah the PSP is basically a PS2 and a Computer, but its portable so you bring it any where, and listen to music. But yea the battery life of the PSP is horrible, but I still like the PSP much better than the DS and whatever, flame me but I have a PSP so meh. Anyways...get a PSP is much better than the DS, but I'd suggest buy a extra battery pack with it so you change it during long trips and such. Unlike the DS I don't think you can change the battery part...

Yeah an innovative interface isnt an advantage at all  and I dont even own a ds i own a psp. Im thinking of trading mine in for the mario kart ds bundle though. Id only suggest a psp if you dont have a mp3 player even still though I wish I had gone with ds.

PSP has an overall advantage in every aspect, from functions to in game graphics.

DS has good ol mario games that are still fun till today.
