OK, hypothetical question: If you can't find a picture, no matter how hard you try, is it reasonable to request a render without a picture?

Well that just means that it's that much harder for other people to find the pic. I wouldn't do it unless it's something I want too. =P

I can fully agree to what has been mentioned here, requesting a render should include a picture, contact info, and the 5 post minimum or higher.

    My opinion:
-five post rule bump up to 15 or 20 would be a good good thing.
-no render request without a picture.
-no threads: could you find me this render?

i feel very strongly about the no render request without a picture.
i do hate the could you find me this render threads too.

imo these should go to offers and request: (or make a request a render search forum)
[REQ] find me this render 10cr
[REQ] picture of a wolf with a rose in its mouth (really this one exists)

my reasons are solely based on the job of the renderer. In most cases we spend an hour a render, often for very little credits. if the requester would spend the same amount of time deciding on a request and doing some research on it, it is impossible not to have a picture (or to request an already rendered render)

    Merged Post:

    another thought:

a tag could be a solution, if everybody would stick by it, or be forced to :D

    i mean -->

    for a render request:
    [RENDER]

    for a search:
    [SEARCH]

for a search and a render:
    [LAZY BUM] (or something else)

this way everybody would know what type of post it is.

Sounds very good. but how do you want to inform the requestors? They aren't reading now, so they won't do it with the new rules either.

    [option]
add the following text underneath the link to request-area:
"read rules first, or you will get a perm. ban"

yeah, sumthing like that. the 'read rules line or perm ban' would help to scare them into reading the rules.

ofcourse there should be a nice n locked stickied rules thread.

also: bumping up the 5 post limit to 15 or 20 would ensure us users that have browsed the forum a bit more, increasing the chances that they read the pinned threads.
