Ok guys, I have a SLI setting on my mainboard, I was wondering if it really helps. I see alof of benchmark tests on my work. But im curious if you see really a diffrence.. I have a Geforce 6800 GT in my PC im thinking of using my second PCI-E aswell with a Geforce 6800 GT. But do you really see a diffrence in games ? G.
Ok well it matters what games you are going to be playing. All games are different with sli such as most games like age of mythology it will be 2 times as worse as it would be in games such as Counter Strike:Source or Half Life 2. It just all depends, and if anyone would like to back me up on this please do so.
Your fps would increase, and as games are created with Multi-GPU in mind, performance could improve. Also, if you have 2 x GeForce 6800GT it's performing close to a 7800GT, for a fraction of the price. dja
So if you guys are right. its better to buy 1 very expensive GFX card ... ofcourse you can put 2 7800GTX aswell in it
was fusion ssaid, sell your card or give it to a friend, then go for the 7800GT. really htough, a 6800 GT is powerfull enough for most things.
Thats BS sli works I have no idea what the people said that it wont are talking about. What kind of games are you going to be playing?
I know sli works. offers 25% or so performance increase. But the fact of the matter is a 7800GT will perform better than the 2 in SLI. Also he would spend less for more performance by selling the 6800gt. However you could always step up to a 7800GTX.
