IRC! I need help downloading, etc. IRC, I want to talk and stuff, can an IRC Mod plz help me.. thanks
From the thread stickied at the top of this forum called "How to use IRC" 1)First off you will need to download and install mirc which you can get here: http://www.mirc.com/get.html 2) Run the installer hen you first start up irc you will see this screen *note this will not show up if you have paid for mirc* just click continue and after 30 days it will be shaded out jus let it sit for a second or 2 and you'll be able to click continue like normal 3)Connect details you will see a screen like this you need to fill out the following information to be able to connect to the irc server like so youll need your name, email, and its always good to put in a alternative incase someone is using the same name as yourself *Note this window will always open when u open MIRC* Click "Servers" then pick Quakenet: Random Server from list then the "Connect to Server" button once connected to quakenet just go down to the status window and type in /join #gamerenders
My bad, Close this topic.. Merged Post: okay, wait, I got it and everthing.. but when I type /join #gamerenders nothing happened..
erm you need to take a closer look at the guide. its pretty simple http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=101785 http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=142779 http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=103380 READ those. you're supposed to join a server.
All that or if you have Java installed click the little button that says IRC on top of every GR page, next to Shop.
