Hi ya`ll this is my first tut but hopefully it`ll help some of ya.
this took me ages and i'm a lazy shit so....
    anyways lets get started.

    1) Make ur sig :P obviously
    2) next create a new layer and use the paint bucket tool to fill it in with black, like this

    3) now take out the Polygonal Lasso Tool, this:
and select a border kind of shape, like this:
    4) go to Layer > Layer style blending options and go to Color Overlay
and chose a color from your background like this:

    5) now go to Stroke and use these settings:
    7) next go to satin and use these settings, but use whatever Contour of satin you want:
    8) go to Bevel & Emboss and use these settings:
    9) click OK on the blending options box now using tools such as Marquee tools etc do some cut outs on the border to your liking and you should have something that looks like this:
    10) create a new layer and fill it in black again, only this time move it behind the first border you did by pressing Ctrl + [
    11) Now repeat all the above, only when you do the color overlay make it a bit darker or lighter than the first border, also use a different Countour for the Satin.
This is what I came up with:

I know this one looks a bit wafty but i did it quick, if you spend more time on it you can make some sigs really cool, and perhaps even add a 3rd border to it.
well, that's it, hope this helped some of ya.
