Ok so Heres the story. I got a render and saved it to my desktop. I go to photoshop and opened up the file that I put the picture in and the pic isnt there. I went back to the file from the desktop and it was there. It was saved as a png file and thats keeps the transparency. So the only way I could open the picture in photoshop was to convert it to a jpeg. Now that loses its transparency so I have to cut it out again. Question: How do you open the png file in photoshop so that it doesnt lose its transparency. FOr some reason photoshop doesnt recognize the png files in my folder.
Save it both as a .psd and .jpeg so when your done editing the .psd file you can save as .jpeg. Hope this answered your question.
What im trying to say is that photoshop isnt seeing the png files. Is there something I have to do to have it see them.
It should read everything without messing up.. All my renders and .jpg, but it reads.. Try reinstalling your Photoshop.. Can you take a pic of it, because maybe i'm not understanding..
Alright this is what happened. I went to open as, rather then open and it showed up in my pictures folder. So i open it and it says this. "Cannot open "......." because it is not a valid Photoshop document." I dont get it. I have photoshop 7.0 is that a problem.
Well, I don't know what's wrong, try google searching it.. Type in like " Opening .png files with Photoshop 7.0 " Or something like that. If I figure out what's wrong, I will come back to you.
I think you need the 7.0.1 plug-in/update. Look around on this page : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/pro...latform=Windows It's the actual adobe site so don't get afraid of viruses, spyware, etc.. If you have any problems downloading go here : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/help.html It's download support. ** Oh, and by the way, did you take an actual pic of your computer with a camera or did you take a screenshot..?
Ok, to do it on the computer : 1. Find the PrtScn button.. ( It should be in the top right hand corner of your keyboard ) What this does is it copies the screen. 2. Now open MS Paint or Photoshop and hit Ctrl + V, This pastes the image. 3. Now you could edit it. ( If you want. ) 4. Now save and host it. This should help a lot . About the Photoshop 7.0, if you reinstall it, it should ask you if you want the plug-ins and the updates.
