Y'see that dial? Well there is a H on one end of the dial. Do you know what would happen if I move the dial all the way torwards the H? Or if I move it opposite the H - what would be the difference? (the other thing is the switch)

basically what does the dial do? and how it will affect the PSU if i switch it anti-clockwise or clockwise? (and no i have no manual)

I believe it controls the fan speed. H = High

The switch is there to isolate the PSU

    The dial is fan speed

    I see, thank you guys.

Also would it be better to set it at high, or at slow speeds? (or does it depend on your room temperature?) i.e. high temp = high speed fan, lower temp = not necessary to have it set to high?

I'd keep it on high, unless the noise really bothers you. better to be safe and have your PSU nice and cool then sorry, and have it blow and take out half your computer.
