    Goto Mycomputer>Network Places(on left)>view network connections(on left)>right click your connection>advanced

then turn off windows firewall because it does nothing.

For me all I need to do is Start Menu < Control Panel < Windows Firewall, then just click off.

    I got a newer computer.

Its that firewall that actually makes using the internet and network more annoying.

    Ya know, that one?

Ok don't even Bother calling tech suppot for your internet connection all they will say is this'

OK whats wrong? then you say something then they don't care and say "unplug the modem wait 30 seconds and plug it back in wait for the blinking cable light to go solid then check your connection..... then you say its not working.... then they say Go to Start > run > cmd > type Ipconfig Now tell me if you see an ip address Then you say YES i see one Then they ask what it is you say 192.168.1 at which point they say We don't support networking have a good day.... But if they actualy stay on the phone they will ask you to do Trace rt www.yahoo.com then ask you what the numbers are in the 3rd line over are then you tell them i don't have any numbers it says request timed out at that time they go OMFG i dono and the book isn't telling me then they say Ummm Sir we are going to need to send a Technition to your residence to find out what is wrong there is no more that i can do for you over the phone would you like me to set you up an appointent you say YES then they do then they ask you Is there anything else i can do for you today Then you say if your a rude/angry person YES.... Fix my internet in which they just hang up the phone if u say No they say have a Nice day sir then hang up the phone while your still Ripping your hair out waiting 5 days for a tech to come between a range of like 8 hours which u have to stay home from work and then the guy comes at the very end when u could have gone to work and came back home and still been there (Btw i call them every time just to hear them say the same thing over and over and over its funny as hell)

How about you just Im me on aim ( babytuxxx ) and ill help you fix it ROFL!

WINDOWS firewall is TOTAL JUNK! I never turned it on in the 1st place and Routers don't have Firewalls its Firm ware and ports Firewall = Software
