Ok, this is pretty cool, and easy to make. Its a nice effect on graphics.

    1) Ok, open up a new document, I'm going to use 450x125.
    2) Just to make a simple BG, goto Filter>Render>Clouds.
    3) Make a new layer.
    4) Fill it with black
    5) With this part, you can be creative. Take the polygonal lasso tool and start from the left side of it, while holding shift to make the line straight. You can either make it a simple straight line across the graphic, or have it like mine..
6)Goto layer>duplicate and then press delete to delete that side.
    7) Click on layer 2, and press Shift+ctrl+I to inverse it and press delete.
    8) Rename the layers. Layer 2=Bottom Door Layer 2 Copy=Top Door (right click the layer and click on layer properties to change the name) Your layers box should look like this.

    9) To make the doors look a little more like doors, right click on the top door and click on blending options. Check Bevel and Emboss, Contour, and Gradiant Overlay(optional). Do the same with the bottom door as well.
Should look like this with Gradiant Overlay

    Without Gradiant Overlay

I'm going to use the Gradiant Overlay one.
We can now work in ImageReady. Click on the ImageReady button in photoshop.
    10) In the animation box, where it says 0 sec, right click and make it 0.1 sec.
    11) Click on the duplicate frame square in the animation box. Should now have 2 frames in it.
    12) On the top door, press up the up arrow key 10 times. Click on the bottom door and press the down arrow key 10 times. Duplicate the frame.
    13) Once on frame 3, press down 10 more times. Click on the top door and press up 10 times. Press the duplicate frame square. Keep doing this until the doors have disappeard off of the graphic.
    14) I don't know about yours, but I have 10 frames all together. After the doors are up, you then move them down. Do it the same way, though this time, on the top door, you press down and on the bottom door, you press up. Make sure you use the same number everytime. For example, on mine, I only press up 5 times on my top door on the finally one so that it was all the way up, so now I'm going to press down 5 times.
    Heres my final result...

    Enjoy tut.
I hope you have learned some animation tricks.

It's a good animation if used properly. But for the entire sig is just rubbish. Besides that, it's just another "copied" tut since I've seen this same idea written by many ppl ages ago. So you didn't really come up with it...bleh..
    ah well
