Dell Vs. Gateway

    Custom pwns any computer.... but out of the two..I think Dell is better for their prices/features.

    I say custom, or a computer specially made to your specs, like ibuypower, systemax, etc.

    You'd know more about the computer you built than the one you got off of Gateway...

    Heirarchy of how good the selections are

    Custom computer (if you buy good parts)
    Gateway Computer
    Neither
    Any other Possible Computers you can get your hands on
    Not Getting a Computer at all
    Dell


    Why? I'm not just being a dell basher. All the custom comps I've used work great. The first Gateway we got lasted 5 years before it broke and had to be reparied. This dell I'm on right now? 5 seconds, seriously.

    I agree, although the earlier dells, the GX10 and GX110's are pretty solid. We refurb them at work. The new ones are not that bad, but we do tell people to stay away from them.

    Gateways are much better than Dells, and customs are much better than either.

    Like hell it is. The dell computer I'm on right now cost 1600. Now, I checked other sites, and I realized one day that I could have gotten a computer 5 times better for 600 less.

    custom by far far, dell blows tbh, and gateway is just weird lol, they make emachines which is a sweet deal for what u get.
