I've heard a lot of people saying that the AMD Athlon 64 X2 3800+ is very easy to overclock.

Could someone explain me step-by-step how to do that?

    Thanks

Overclocking isn't an easy thing to explain step by step. There are a lot of little things you need to know about your PC before overclocking. You need to do more research on computer modding related sites before changing any factory set defaults. If you don'tyour going to end yp messing up your PC to the point of no repair.

Some good sites to chech with beore OCing your system are:

    forum.pcmech.com
    Your motherboard's manufacturers wesite
    Your CPU's manufacturers wesite
    Your RAM's manufacturers wesite

Also, if you are going to ask more questions you need to add more information about your system, and your systems cooling.

what do you mean below 18. age? because the teenagers are the best at overclocking because they always know what happening in the tech world as they always want to know the best and crap like that.

anyways I found a good overclocking guide but I have to find its link. cant find it sorry, but anyways how much do you want to overclock, 2.4-2.5ghz?

anyways have a try of this -
Drop your HTT Multiplier to 3x.
Drop your RAM divider down to 166. Effectively DDR333.
    Up your HTT to 240.
Raise your Vcore to 1.5 (For the first time on your overclock put it at that but as you find it running stable slowly lower it until your reach its lowest stable vcore).

    Have these programs ready -
Prime95 - Run the Stress Test (You must run 2 copies of it at a time when using dual cores, read its readme to find out how). Run for about 10-15 minutes.

SuperPi - Do the 1M calculation, 2M would be better though.

MemTest 86+ - Must be on a bootable cd so you can run that at boot before booting into windows for the first time to see your ram is running fine. Look for errors, especially in test 5.

    Cpu-Z

Also YOU MUST monitor your temps, try and find a copy of everest and look at temps when you first boot up and when you are running prime after 10 minutes.

If everything runs fine and dandy at 2.4ghz do the following if you want more -

Just drop your memclock maxspeed to 133.
Then set the HTT to 300 (That will run your ram @ 200mhz).
Lower the multi to 8x (assuming it happily booted @ 2.4Ghz previously).
Then increase the multi by 0.5 at a time

    300 x 8 = 2.4
    300 x 8.5 = 2.55
    300 x 9 = 2.7

DONT FORGET TO LOCK YOUR PCI BUS SPEED!!! It might be called something wierd like cpu centre spread or something along those lines.
