Download ZoneAlarm for now. the default windows one doesnt do much anyway. other than that, do the routine spyware/virus check. Not sure whats wrong sorry.
i had that prob i think it was a virus no matter use another firewall also do spyware checks frequently if u need a fast one download antispyware at microsoft.com
Thats good leave it off. you could possibly make a better firewall yourself lol. Get the zonealarm free version as diablo said.
Windows Firewall is simply a thing to make them look they are protecting your computer. It's easier to crack than... something that's easy to crack, and all it does is ruin LAN connections. Your computer is safer without it . But yeah, go ZoneAlarm, it's great with program control.
I actually have more problems with windows firewall turned On than with it turned off. Dont even bother with it, do as the others said.
I say go and buy Mcafee. It is like 40 bucks for the entire suite and I got it...dont have a problem no more...the guys on Attack of the Show on G4 said that Mcafee was one of the better ones...so dont by wrapped up in the fact that Norton is cheaper...cause it sucks!
I totally agree with you j.b mcafee rules i havnt had any problems since i installed it (like a year ago)before then i was using noprton and kept getting hell loads of problems norton suck's realy bad
^hope that was accidential... Sygate or ZoneAlarm, is much better than anything windows has. adhere to my free software list, i have a few good Firewalls in there.
