Ok, well, my uncle has a computer and I decided to Virus Scan with Avast! and found 15 viruses. " Holy Moly " !! Ok, so I moved it to the Virus Chest and then I deleted them all, does this delete all the viruses or are the viruses still there? Because the computer still runs a little slow, and the biggest program on t his computer is only about 500.00 MB.. Then I decided to spy-ware scan wit SBC Anti-Spy and found 6 traces and I removed them, but yet the computer is still running slow. And he has 128 mb of ram.. And I don't think it's the ram, he barley has any programs that can take up so much.. Any help?
Mcaffee sucks IMO , No i'm not going with it, Avast is 100 times better than that ----.. People say Avast! is the best, and yes I do like it a lot, it's easy and simple..
yes dont go near mcafee. The PC is running slow because - 1. I assume you have XP and you only have 128mb RAM, I recommend at least 256mb. 2. You only have 500mb on your harddisk, no room for page file or storing documents in cache. Free it up to at least 1gb.
Yep, I told him to upgrade to 256 mb.. But never told him to free it up a little bit, but I deleted some stupid junk..
