Can Anyone Give Me The Name Of A Game

I know, i searched for a similar thread and found one but the person wasn't precise on what kind of fighting game he was looking for.

I'm looking for a 2D, anime (just want cartoon characters really) and similar to Guilty Gear XX Reloaded (the game rocked, you have to play it if you like these kind of games).
It doesn't have to be for PC only.
Anything else besides the Marvel/Capcom/SNK games?

STREET FIGHTER FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is there a more recent version of the game ?
Or what's the latest version of it ?

I never had a great impression about this game, but seeing as how i'm desperate i'm willing to give it a shot

MORTAL COMBAT FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gunz The Duel

www.gunzonline.com

O NO! NOT GUNS! lol i play that, i get owned byy durial, lol

I'm already playing GunZ, but with all the kiddie scripters running amok in the game, it's turning out to be annoying.
Also, that's not the type of game i was reffering to lol

Mortal Kombat is a good idea, i completely forgot about that game, thanks.
Any other suggestions ?

EDIT: The last version of MK beeeeeeeing... Deception ?

Street Fighter all the way man u can not like Street Fighter thats like the best game ever or you can always go with WWE SmackDown Vs Raw 2006

There's sort of no other 2d fighters left if you cancel out snk/capcom/marvel dude.

Okay i'll look for Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat games.

Again, what are the latest versions so i know what exactly i'll look for ?

EDIT:

I was afraid of an answer like that :/

I'd get Street Fighter Anniversary Collection. It has Hyper Street Fighter II & Street Fighter III. You can get it for $20. But thats just me people have their own preference.

I used to play it at my friends home Roxxxxx
