http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?d...8565&cid=170.45 ok i just saw that and i was wondering if thats a really good price for that machine! Look at what it comes with! Please tell me if its worth it or not
There's no OS, so tack another $150 onto that. (USD) Plus, according to the stock repot thingy, it's not in stock anywhere... completely sold out.
Hmm overpriced i reacon no OS (operating system) So ya about $150 or about £45 on to that. Its not that fast for the price its good but not great its 64bit not many games utilize the 64bit procerssors but they are starting to as i have found out. IF you want a real mega beef fast machine build one yourself you can build on twice as fast with alot bigger things in it for about $1000. go on pcmech they have a lot of specifications for fast rigs and how to build it. Its a pretty decent price as its pre-built but no OS means your gonna have to buy one and have the hassle of installing it,
it's priced OK< I wouldn't get it though. I'd build something like this: x2 3800+ 1gb DDR400 ram 2*80gig HDDs in RAID 0 7800GT(unlock the pipelines) that should be about the same price if not slightly more
A guy I know just got another 250 GB HD, making his total HD array something like this: 74 GB 10k Raptor } 74 GB 10k Raptor }Together in RAID0 250 GB 7.2k Barracuda 250 GB 7.2k Caviar I'm jealous. <_<
You can download an OS. It's illegal... but hey, if your into limewire and that stuff its possible. You have to transfer it to the comp through another comp (like a laptop).
the price isnt that great im guessing your canadian, since that site was canadian so check out www.cbit.ca, they have pretty good prices in canadian
price ain't that good u need a os download it save some cash illegal i know windows vista comming out next year
That is a horrible price for that. Myth having 64 bit is a good thing, not a bad thing its better to have it for the future. xelink is right build the setup he gave you as it would cost the same and perform 50% better.
You could easily make that machine for under $500. For $1000, you can do much much better.
