Im not sure this goes here but it doesnt fit anywhere else.

Anyways i just got a new comp for christmas and i noticed when i render things in C4D and i save them as TARGA with alpha checked and i do everything right when i load them in photoshop they still have a black bg, i had no idea why but i think i do know. Alright i was rendering a masamune shirow picture on photoshop and when i was done i did make selection an everything and select inverse and pressed ctrl+x but instead of everything got blank where i had deleted it went black.. i want to know if there is a way to fix it to going back to black when i delete stuff, and it was just one bg layer there were no other layers.

    Thanks in advance :)

Why are you saving as a targa file in c4d, that's the problem i believe. save it as like a trasparent gif or w/e 16-bit channel

thats not the problem i looked up about 100 tutorials and used all of them over and over and it didnt matter and besides on my old computer it worked fine and i was saving it the same way.. i can render images though by copying the image m gonna render then duplicating it and deleting the bg layer, so really its only the bg layer that it does that for, and i dont know why.

Yeah, it's not the targa file, thats the correct one that you want to save it. This little "fiasco" has happened to me before. How many times have you tried it over, that happened to me once and i just went back into C4D and saved it as a targa again, and it worked perfectly. It also could be your color scheme if you have like some option. where ever you click it will turn to your foreground color. Hope I helped, if you need any further explanation MSN me, [email protected] ;)

well i still haven't figured out how to get it to work with c4d images but i fixed everything else by just not using a bg layer and setting it to transparent, but i want to be able to use my renders..
