ok i just bought this game along with an ati radeon 9250 gfx card, i didnt want to spend like 400 dollors lol so i just bought something i could play the game with. i installed it np, i installed the drivers np. i installed bf2 and the patches and when i opend the game my computer restarts itself. i did this 5 times then i got a popup saying its my drivers.... i installed the catylyst or w/e their called from ati website and it went into the game... then i skipped the bull---- video lol and a screen comes up saying multiplayer or single player. HERES THE PROBLEM LOL. it wont let me clikc either one and sometimes my mouse isnt even their, then when i do try to click it a popup from ati comes up and says, drivers reset or something and it restarts my computer.... wtf i bought this all today and got the computer yesterday. i know for a fact its no the computer, proccesor, i have enough ram, and the gfx card should work it says 8500 or above. whats wrong anyone know? im gonna reinstall the drivers then try, oh and does anyone know a link to one of those gaming specs test sites? thx in advance

A not- so -rare problem. Try an older version of the drivers. Happens sometimes with a new graphics card.

I'd reccomend a GeForce 6200, if you don't want to spend very much and still want to be able to play. nVidia's drivers are much less tempermental than ATI's.

you could try posting on the forums of bf2tracker.com or totalbf2.com and on a side note dont expect to play BF2 well with a card that is not supported and that cost below 100$ and thats not even DirectX ® 9
and even if u get bf2 to work dont expect it to go past low setting

you joking right? the 6200 is one of the worst around, i got that as my stock card...i went and bought the 7800 gtx and mone works okish but all other games work good, but defo not the 6200, and as for your problem try taking your pc into a local shop, ive found that local shops help alot more than bigger shops.

thats american lol, the thing is Xtasy made the original ati X550 twice as good lol. it works pefectly for me with bf2. im running amd athlon 64, 512 DDR, and then another 256 DDR built into the video card, a 200 GB hardrive, an ati X200 motherboard, and an emachines T6412 tower. i mean most of its stock like the proccesor and the motherboard and the ram and stuff, but all i did was upgrade to a X550 and my computer is 5X as fast lol. with my old one it took like 20 minutes to load one game now it takes 1 or 2 tops

Matt.L, not everyone can afford a 7800GTX. A 6200 is a decent, lower end card.

Anyway, I'm getting a 6600 GT for about $150, We'll see how that stacks up.
