Graphic Cards...

    Hi
    Im running an iMac G4 with a GeForce4 MX with 32MB of VRAM. It sucks, I know. im looking for a good, affordable but not bargain basement graphics card. Suggestions?

    First of all..
    Price range? like 100-200? up to 250?

    also, I'm not sure about macs..is it different than normal comps? like agp/pci-e slots and such?

    Macs use AGP for their bus. My price range is basically anything, probably under 300 dollars.

    get a ATI X700 pro for MAC its should be 200 dollars or lower, or mayb you can aim for the X800 XL should be around 300 dollar range.

    yeah i didnt know either. Get a 9800pro or 9600XT because anything higher will be greatly bottlenecked.

    i would go for the geforce 7800 gtx deluxe but that is like 1,000 dollars you could also go for a 256mb radeon card those things are good to. depends on what you want it for

    so ture.. the 7800 needs a very very very powerfull computer / processer.

    get a geforce dont get ati nvidia is the way its metr to be played - (lol)

    he said around 300 not 1k i would go with a 6800 maybe im sure you could find one for around 300

    No point in a 6800.
    highest he should look for is last gen. 9800pros.

    correct me if I am wrong, but he is looking for a mac GFX card. look through ATi's offerings as far as I know, NVidia doesn't catter too much to apple. the 9800 isn't too bad nor it the x800
