Okay, this has been going on for about 9 hours now.

I keep on trying to sign on in MSN Messenger 7.5.03 however it gives me an error saying:

Then When I check my preferences it says:

    I've tried:

    Re-installing MSN
    Using older versions
    Un-installing MSN Plus
    Restarting My Computer
    Using Trillian
    Signing in on different E-Mails...

    NOTHING Prevails :(

    Anyone know whats wrong?

This happend to me.. I think I reinstalled MSN, rebooted my laptop,
disabled and re-enabled my network connection, and then just waited
a bit, then it came on =\

Have you checked your firewall? Maybe it's blocking the Instant Messenger function?

I've had nothing but problems with MSN connection in the past. Unfortunately, Trillian solved my problem, but it didn't for you. Something must not be allowing you to connect to MSN.

Sorry, this was no help at all. I feel for you bro. This sucks.

    How to solve MSN Error# 80048820 ;)

EDIT: I read downward and saw it didn't work for just about anyone, but hell I'd give it a shot if nothing else is making sense, which it isnt'. <_<

EDIT EDIT: Are you running Norton Antivirus by any chance?
