OMG, I am so happy I got a Ford Taurus. Why you may ask? When I get hit by a 16 year old punk who is driving his new car thats payed for by mommy and daddy, I don't have to worry about high insurance rates. I'm at what $40 for 6 months right now. It's nice, but too many parents will buy it for junior who hasn't taken drivers ed.
It was illegal because of the following: Engine block. Bodykit/chasis ... Plus, Japan never bothers to produce US-spec Skyline GT-R cars, unlike Evolution, STi, etc. You can legalize it, but it will take so much time and money that you need to be a diehard fan of it to obtain it with so many preexisting difficulties.
wtf i didnt know GTR was banned in the US, my friend used to drive me to school in his R32 GTR all the time, i was thnkin of gettin one but GTR isnt my style and its expensive to maintain. however a 99 Subaru STi is a whole new story ^_^
Lol, that car is from 2 Fast 2 Furious Anyway, I think when it comes, it won't have NOS, no neon light, no stickers etc. So it will just be a normal car..
HAHA EXACTLY!! Theres ownage Skylines around UK seen so many Seen many others as well and hitched a ride on em B) IT WASNT A BUGATTI - IT WAS A FRKKIN SALLEEEENN MYY GOD HE PROBABLY BE THE LUCKIEST GUY ON THE PLANET TO GET THAT FREE but i guess it neva happened
It was only the R34GTR that was illegalized in the first place. Standard Skylines are perfectly street legal, they just cost $60k+ to import to America. I honestly don't think the streetlegalization of the GTR and/or putting it into production in America is going to be a big deal to anyone but enthusiasts. Sure wouldn't mind having one myself though.
The Skyline i slegal here, but thats not the actual car, that has been modified to look that way. The skyline will look more like the newer mustangs as the guy above said. but its a pretty hawt car yea.
the skyline's only legal in about 3 or 4 states. Coming out next year?? They've stopped making them a long time ago. You'd be lucky if u'd find or afford one in your state.
it was never actually illegal, they just didnt sell them in america. im sure you could find an old busted up one for sale somewhere in america though.
