http://www.gamerenders.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=162152 35 Minute VIDEO. I do not expect you to watch the whole 35 minute video. Though, I expect you to watch it for atleast 10-15 minutes, skim through it, and say what you like/dont like about it. Be strict with Video Tuts - They cut through the Criteria.
Im not going to watch the video, because I currently do not have the time or space to download it. You don't have to count my vote, but based on the finished results I would say no. They look like a poor attempt to smudge imo.
I would like you to atleast which it for 5 minutes, please, if possible. I cant possibly count that vote, as 35 minutes of him speaking could help people ALOT and alot of detail. I will be watching it (fully) in a few minutes.
Watched it.. I seriously dont know, im going to need some inspiration. The guy, for about the first 10 minutes was really bad at speaking. Meaning, he barely did it, he just told you how to do it. I guess he was shy? Later on he got less and less shy. The quality (ofcourse, camtasia) wasnt that good, but ya cant blame him. The thing is, though, you learn an INCREDIBLE amount of things... It covers Text, how to Smudge, Brushing, C4D, render working, everything. There are some GREAT results. Personaly, im at a 50/50 right now. I'll have to think about it. Its a really great tut to learn from, and you cant blame him for some of his speaking mistakes.. Rest sounded good. So.. 34 minutes of good learning.
It does teach you a ----LOAD of new things though faith... Its not "only" about the outcome. Nobody fully coppies a tut..So if the tut is really good, and the outcome is bad, that kinda cancels one another out in neutrality. Anyways, he barely speaks at the begining, he gets better in the middle.. Hmm, cmon guys, stop being so lazy! Voters!
same here, he is hard to understand. in the beginning i was trying to figure out what he was saying. in the end he gets better. but then maybe its to late. for the ones that couldnt catch up with it. he teaches a lot. thats a + but some people will think that 35 MB's of download is to much. it took me quite some time to download it. since it went with 29.3 kb's a second.... and yeah the outcome isnt pretty nice. though i dont really care about that in this case. so im not quite sure, but it tends to no.
I've made up my mind. I dont think I need a 35 minute video as a Premium Tutorial. I dont think it follows any criteria. And if this was layed out flat, it wouldent pass. No.
