Wow. I think thats absolutely fabulous! Will probably use sometime, only thing I think you should have done differently in it, would have been set your text style to smooth... and maybe blend the text a little.

you can also do a hue and saturation on the render on its own to
make it look metalic or gold or somethen

 

It''s nice, but it would only be useful in those types of background's when you think of it...

This technique is called chroming, and it has always been one of the many popular effects in the mainstream due to its brightness and shiny effect.

That isn't perfect, though
