How do you people get inspiration for art? I usually only take on a project/sig/work if I know what I am doing and am sure of what I want it to look like. How can I get inspiration for creating new works?
i usually get it from looking at brush sets on deviantart.com or listening to my music.. orrr i have a random urge to design something specific
I can't say i have inspiration for my work... I just find a render i like and go something like "Oh that would look great with colour x and background x, covered with brushes x y z" I just do them for fun and when i get some free time
the most of the time I look at other people sigs, and try to find out how they have made it. then I try to improve the techniques or try to make my own... it always turnout as something different
umm ah yes, imsparatioin ususally comes fomr my mind, randomly. i have 2 studies in shool so i jsut sit there thinking, and guess what im thinking about? and of course that and listing to some music, and seeing other poeplees work.
When I get a strong feeling like, happyness, angry, sad etc I'll make a manip, like last night I was angry at something and I made a manip of someone with wounds, scars and burns on their skin, then i'd discreetly name it after whoever made me angry.
so in other words the render is your inspiration? i think music is what inspires me to make some graphics
I do the same as Raziel. I look through my render collection till one stands out at me then i just play around with it till im happy. If i get stuck or suddenly lose the inspiration i scrap it and start again
I use music, and sometimes films or stuff on tv. Sometimes if you just half listen to these things you get an image in your head of what it makes spring to mind, and i use that for inspiration and ideas.
I see other, good designers work, like Apocalypse and Chrono. Then I try to do something cool and get all sad cause I cant do stuff like them
I start with random light brushing a lot, and then I start detailing it. I rarely actually know what I want it to come out as, it just develops as i go
