I haven't entered SOTW here before so I'm not exactly sure how the voting was done, but how about just having the people who entered the contest be the ones to vote. You can't vote for yourself, so you have to vote for someone else. That makes it fair.

This is so lame. A vote is based on a certain persons opinion. And different people are attracted to different things, and a judges vote in the SOTW is his/her vote, not yours. Respect his/her opinion, and if you cant do that then at the least, please, just keep to yourself.

You aren't the only one. Moderators are no longer allowed to enter SotW. So just take a break is all I can say.

Sorry I'm not sure what you are asking...

"Will this weeks be the last"?

Yes. Though the winners will be chosen today, soon. They will be posted and there winnings earned. This will be the last SotW for a while.

Why do mods care so much about what a few people posted. Think of all the other members that love the SOTW the week and love what the mods/admins are doing. There are a ton of us. Its like my job, I work my ass off all day but get no recognition but the moment something goes wrong all the blame goes on me. People still appreciate me, I just don't hear about it. Same thing goes with the SOTW's, so many people appreciate your time and efforts but you just don't hear about it. We kinda take it for granted most of the time.

Starting in January will you guys please reconsider starting SOTW again? I love it, I love the work you guys do for it and I don't wanna see it go. A few people will complain no matter what...but thats why there is the suspend button or like....a 2 hour ban. That should make em shut up for a bit. Its a dictatorship...you are the law. And hey...Moderators should be able to enter their stuff. I don't have a problem with it...I haven't seen a mod win that doesn't deverve it. When renegade got the runner up? He had a better manip sig that most of those out there. He deserved the win, he didn't win cause he was a mod. Get over it people. Anyways, I hope this post encourages some action and inspiration for the mods/admins to start running a sotw early in the new year.

I'm with MT....the SOTW was my main attraction here...and even then I haven't entered for a few weeks cause of college and work. I am looking forward to be able to enter again though.

Thanks for the support Leirsgrios. I too hope that SotW starts up sooner than planned. Who knows it might.

But even if the rules for staff not being able to enter is taken out of consideration, I will won't participate because the same thing will be said every time. I will still make a sig most likely but I won't ever enter it.

Anyways, let's just all hope it goes well.

Until that time, have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Interesting point of view, but who decides whos experienced and whos not. Oh wait, its those same folks who vote for the Sig of the Week currently, well that puts us in a bind..

Currently, the Sig of the Week allows for a complete chance of anyone to win the Sig of the Week, as seen by a few of the recent S.O.T.Ws. Not to beat a dead horse, but i once remembered something Irrelevant told me. He entered and won the first Sig of the Week he entered, and he claimed it wasn't even that good. Boost of confidence, and now we have some amazing pieces by him.

Regardless of how the voting is done, its going to be based on PERSONAL OPINION. Regardless of whos opinion it is, its still a opinion. What makes a 'pros' opinion better then mine, experience? Confidence? No, its other peoples opinions regarding his work - which propel him to 'pro' status.

Everything goes back to opinion, and Sig of the Week is ran by human judgement. The only way we would be able to have a fair Sig of the Week is if we created a guideline of what the perfect signature is, which would kill creativity and make all signatures look the same. Oh wait, who decides the perfect signature? Damn that word 'opinion',

ty i always speak the truth :P i try not to lie

anyways i cant complain, i won the runner-up in a previous SOTW..... actualy it was a couple months back, before the summer break certainly.

although there was times i didnt quite agree with the winners, i didnt complain because thats how it is. Voting is a compilation of opinions.

    IT CAN NEVER BE UNFAIR

    unless you cheat :P

ok i've thought about this more. it actually pisses me off a lot. why are the moderators acting like children over this? if you don't like the way it's been going lately, fine.

elect new people to take it over. don't just take your proverbial ball and go home. gain some maturity, and stop trying to ----block one of the main traffic-getters this site has to offer.

No matter what you say, it's not changing. Don't complain about the staff complain about the members who create the crap.

We are not electing new people either. The staff was asked about this many times before and it's not changing.

Many of the staff are not going to be around during Christmas, including myself, if you haven't noticed I have been on hardly any lately. It's best that we take a break because no one is going to be around to take care of it, make the topics, lists, ect.

Just give it time and we will most likely get back to it.

But do not go about saying that we need to mature. Most of the staff is over 20 years of age with the exception of me. I am 15 but obviously mature for my age or I would be talking like you are right now.

Don't make us close another SotW topic because honestly I wouldn't mind to.
