Thank you dude..I was soon to format my XP...so this will help...Will read now and will edit with a comment :D

    ^XD^...good song

    Questions so far:
    1. If I have 2 HD's on one system can I just hook them up no big deal, or do I need some type of system for it (Like I heard of RAID or SATA2 I think...)..If so, how much are they? Can I get them off newegg?
    2. If I have 2 hooked up, I can choose which one to format right?

you can have 2 disc just on Regularly IDE with no probs. you dont need raid or sata2. but if you have 2 60gigs and your mobo supports RAID i would suggest hooking it up for that. and usually just format you main drive then when windows boots up you can go into ( system manager or something) and you can format your second drive as a storage drive or whatever you want it for.

Note for RAID0 you have to have 2 identical size drives

    like 2 40s
    or 2 60

i think you can even go up to raid6 with 6 drives but i doubt you would have that.

hehe turned into RAID and SATA conversations - Keep it @ a basic level ;) for the many peeps who dont know :D Its gona help them

@Diablo - At the partition screen you can select the ones you want to create or delete - Leave one as a storage and mostly the C: drive is the system one which you usually format ;)

Do NOT turn on windows firewall, it blocks stuff coming in, but not out so its essentially useless.

lol defuzion i laughed at that comment [not in a bad way but found it funny] :D

Isnt that what a firewall would do :D

Well its a general comment - enabling firewall does not allow any viruses come in once formatted your PC UNLESS if you have followed the beginning step of unplugging your network cable that is ;)

Once finished - install your virus scanners etc and firewalls THEN insert your internet cable so that no viruses/spyware etc get in as soon as you plug it in

YOu probably understand what im saying now ;)

No what Im getting at with that comment is, is that if you get some sort of worm or spyware on your pc that sends your information out to the creator, YOU ARE STUFFED. To put it lightly, you are better off getting a proper firewall like zonealarm free or that Keiko one whatever its called.
