How Do I Edit .gif Files That Are Animated?

    How do i edit .gif files that are animated?

    what prog should i open it in to add text and after when saved, there is still animation?

    i dont think you can edit a .gif file ?

    Open it with ImageReady.
    Do what you need to it, and to save it with the animation go to "File > Save Optimised As..."

    when you open it you will get every frame.

    you can use image ready to edit gif files. or any type of file that includes frames. believe it or not i have edited some movies with image ready
