Did I Get A Good Deal?

    I got my comp for roughly 700 dollars about 6 months ago. Did i get a good deal, how can i make it better, and willit be able to handle games well within te next 3~ years?


    Processor: Intel Pentium 4 540 3.2GHz
    System Memory: 512MB (installed) / 4GB (max) - DDR SDRAM - 400MHz - PC3200
    Graphics Controller: PCI Express x16 - ATI RADEON X300 SE - 128MB
    Installed Video Memory: 128MB
    Monitor: None.
    Hard Drive: 1 x 250GB - standard - Serial ATA-150
    Optical Storage: DVD?RW (+R double layer)
    Optical Storage (2nd): DVD-ROM
    Audio: Sound card - 7.1 channel surround
    OS Provided: Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005

    woe thats a mad deal for only 700 dollars! thats crazy so cheap

    Lol my PC is nothing compaired to that. I really need a new one. Well i think 700 dollars is about £350 over here in scotland so yeah thats amazing lol...

    Is it a new PC or second hand?

    refurbished, and 350 euros are about 450 dollars...

    Its nice..nothing too huge though..

    If I am correct...you definetly need a new gfx card..and another stick of 512mb ram would help

    its a ok deal but that graphics card wont handle the next gen games like unreal 3 and ut2k7. and like it was mentioned, more ram would help out.

    I got the pretty much same comp for around 750 except it has an amd 3500+ and 1gb of ram but i upgraded my gfx with a ati radeon x800pro a month or 2 ago and now its pwns.

    next 3 years ? no way !... but yeah maybe it can for 1 year with a new graphics card, if u want a comp that will keep u going tthe next 3 years then... make a new thread asking for the parts..

    well its not too great. but add more ram. get a 6800GS or a connect3D x800GTO.

    lol my comp was £500 here at london.i got a moniter,printer,camera,speakings,keyboard and mouse o yeah plus the hardrive lol and mines slow as

    I saw a computer for free a few weeks ago..in turn you had to buy a year of AOL thought but thats only like $120 bucks..
    now today in the paper, i think its compusa, theres one for only 150 after rebates. One rebate is a year of AOL though...eh...

    dont buy those, they are not for gaming, theyre for the lowly life people that think $500 is unfathomable...
