So are you asking what to get for a new computer?

I would personally put the money towards anger management. ;)

    Ok..
    You need an upgrade :D
Lets see..a minimum right here is:
    AMD Athlon 64 3200 $175
    1024mb Dual channel ram $100
    MoBo - $70-$100
    PSU - $45

So thats about 420 bucks for those three...
Remember if its for a gaming PC you will need a gfx card also..

I just gave you mobo cuz if you are upgrading your processor well your current mobo probly isnt good enough and why not go for new RAM? :P ...and you probly will need a new power supply to power it all up...

yeah you wont want to keep your current gfx card. But tell us your budget. However straight off my head for a budget gaming pc I would recommend -

    AMD 64 3200+
    ASRock Dual-SATA2
    1GB OCZ Value RAM (2x 512mb)
    Connect3D x800GTO
    120GB WD SATA HD
    Benq DW-1640
    Epower Puma II
    Generic Case

    That will cost around $600-700.
