ok recently ive tidy my desk abit and i clustered all my computer components together eg, modem, maincase, sub, wiring, external HDD and all that stuff. they are all right next to each other.

i see a raise in temp on the gauge from 60 ish to 75 ish and now my computer runs real slow it takes ages to load games now and it lags.

does heat really slow down your comp that much???

heat definately does play a factor on slowing down your comp. i'd suggest checking the manuals (if you still have them!) and checking the minimum distance that the devices are supposed to be away from each other.

    Download Everest Home Edition.
Go to Mainboard I think it is and click sensors. Tell us your temps.

no download everest. because that temp is not telling us the temps for cpu, motherboard and gpu.

yea, it will slow down ur comp if its an intel because of it's auto-protection, if it was an amd it will just shut down when reaching 70*c(or 60 if its an athlon 64) to protect it. u definately need to open up your case and clean your heatsink as im pretty sure u never did and that why it doesent cool it anymore..

I highly doubt he has a problem considering he is reading off his monitor. Is the monitor farenheit or celcius.
