Nope. It would run the same. No cards except for the latest 7800's and x1800Xt's utilise pci-e to the fullest, aswell as crossfire and sli combos. [/b][/quote] o rly? i thought the pci e slots incresed te clock speed..
they do. But cards arent good enough yet. The best of the current generation take advantage but you will see the big difference with the upcoming G80 and R570 Cores.
well....lucky me, im stil on intel integrated extreme gfx...damn...shudda never let mi dad get this dell.
PCI-Express doesn't increase the clock speed or memory speed ... it makes the transfer between your mobo and your gpu faster. But, after reading many reviews, even F.E.A.R. doesn't use all of the 2.1 GB/s that AGPx8 has. PCI-E has a rate of 4 GB/s ... the clock speeds and everything else are the same. I probably would have gotten a 7800 GT if i had a PCI-E mobo ... in about 2 years ill get a PCI-E or whatever is new by then motherboard
Driver updates for you GFX card is always handy I played HL2 with a GeForce MX 440 =] I now have a 6800 GT PCI-E
Awww man, Just got the graphics card today, my dad says that I can't open it until christmas and he hid it . Oh well ... I guess it's only a week to wait
grrr NFS:MW always crashed for me + i have a ati radeon 9800 pro (usually crashes 10-15 minutes into the game?)
