Invision Free To Ipb?200 Creds!

First of all my friend gota forum and i want to get him him ipb for xmas. HE has invision free.. but he doesnt wanna loose any of his memebers... or posts... so here are my questions

1.i need new domain and forum which is ipb right?
2. after I have installed the forum and the site what do i do?
3. How to i move all the memebers,topic,posts to the new forum.
4. I will give 200 creds to person who can do that for me... like move em all to the new place...

you can get a cheap host for around 5 a month
and to buy ipb its like 140 or something. but nobody knows that, everyone hacks it :]

dude.... ur not getting the point.... man... ok look my FRIEND has a forum from invision free.... I want to get him IPB!! which i will buy... and i kno how to buy.. All i need your help is by telling me how to move all the posts,topics,memebes from INVISION FREE to IPB!! like get everything from invision free forum that he has to a new forum that im gone buy him....

You need to contact IF. I think it costs liek 5 dollars to get your DB and move it to IPB.

 

Try that^ Didnt know you even could. If that dont work then just start over, no big deal really...and godaddy.com has cheap domains..and you can get good hosting for only 3 bucks from some site..I'll try to look for it later when I go on my other computer....

 

You can't rollover, as far as I know, you have to start all over again. The only thing you can keep is your skin...

 

ok do this. get 1and1 hosting, 3 dollors a month with a domain, 1 gb of space and a ton of bandwidth. get ipb version 1.3.1 final or 2.0.0 because those are free and i cam give them to you. u cant transfer info from invisionfree sorry.

 

You worded your question very poorly.
As for transfering data from invision free, the only way it would be possible is for them to do it, because you don't have access to the files, or the sql tables. Contact them about it.

 

yeah hes right. its very complicated. trust me dont even ask them just redo it the people will join again just tell them too.

Here's what you need to do, since you don't have direct access to the files, the only way to get your information is to ask the people that do have access to it (ivf)
Other than that I don't really see another way to do it. You could check the ivf forums and see if there is a way to extract the information through the admin panel, but I don't see that happening.
