    Which one of those three do you recommend?
    Oh, and should I also get a Surge Protector..?

    Ok, I will get that, Or just take the one off my dell, it's custom.

    ^ The only thing about the one in my dell is the blue neon light..:D

    Another question is do you need an install disk to make the PSU work?

    no you need a new psu. Your dell one will not be good enough. yes you should have a surge protector.

    Ok, Forget that case, I need a case that's about 50 dollars..Any suggestions..? Oh and I prefer the ones that are see thru on the side.

    YOu dont need a cool looking case. I made the mistake and bought one. Its all flashy but no-one cares even if you do go to lanparties. Just get the case I recommended its a good case with silent fans and a very good psu.

    yes it did. It was a NeoHE 500W Modular PSU. It has 3 12v rails which is really good and you can take out the left over plugs for better case organisation.

    For $1000 might as well go with Dell. Wait until Christmas-time to get in on some of their crazy deals.

    you'd have to get a 3.2 ghz pentium extreme edition to approximate the x2 3800+ that's out of his budget.

    if he went with a dell/pre-built his next pc change would be a full build rather than an upgrade. By building his own he opens the door to upgrades whereas with factory builts they use specifically built parts that cannot be upgraded easily.
