Just trying to find some tablature on http://www.taborama.com and I read that they no longer are giving tablature due to the following...[taken from BBC] The Music Publishers' Association (MPA), which represents US sheet music companies, will launch its first campaign against such sites in 2006. MPA president Lauren Keiser said he wanted site owners to be jailed. He said unlicensed guitar tabs and song scores were widely available on the internet but were "completely illegal". Mr Keiser said he did not just want to shut websites and impose fines, saying if authorities can "throw in some jail time I think we'll be a little more effective". Ill find some more info on this in a minute. ------------------------------------------------------------- Here is the rest of story
Yea, me too man. I was wondering why everytime I clicked a tab link it said something about copyright infringement.
I guess all publishers now are going to file suits against everybody that has info written on the internet that people could have learned from a book if they paid for it. OMG, then we wouldnt have anything to look at on the internet!!
Yeah, I think it's ridiculous! Next will be: "oh, you use renders of films and Games? Well well, little friend: You have to pay for it! Shut down your site and buy it on our internetstore"....I don't want that .
man, this is a load of :censored: .. i can't believe it... http://www.ultimate-guitar.com is the best though, if you're having trouble finding things.
Hmm I play bass technicaly its not copyright because people listen to the songs and find the notes out themselves and most are incorrect.
