    hmm, I have one 512 DDR 4000 (I think)

I'm ok with it, I'm not the hardcore gamer as some of you are. If I can run PS CS2 smoothly, which I can, I'm happy.

Thats not 3... its a 1 gig stick and a 512 stick... not three 512 sticks someone needs to learn some math.

To run dual channel, the sticks have to be identical.

Someone needs to learn something about computers.

I've got 768 MB, a 256 stick and a 512 stick, both DDR PC3200. I've got another 512 MB stick, but I was stupid and accidently ordered DDR2, so I've got to exchange it for a DDR stick.

I did not say that i am running 3 RAM sticks. I said i have 1.5 GB now. Which is 2x512MB and 2x256MB. I am upgrading and taking out the 2x256MB and adding 2x1GB. That will give me my 3 GB. <_<

I do know a thing or 2 about puters. I have only been building them for over 10 years. :P

but running 2 different sized sticks still wont run dual channel.

your running 2x 256 sticks in dual channel, what a waste, cause only new processers run dual channel and therefore you system will be running slower than it should.
