Can't Dell makes their cases so you can only use the motherboard made for that model not anything else.
Often DELL does that... They want the case to have their name on it and stuff. thats what you get from buying a full computer...
Yeah, Dell uses propreitary cases and motherboards so you can't do upgrades. Here are my recommendations for a new case/mobo Case - Antec P180 PSU - Antec NeoHE 500W Mobo - ASUS A8N-SLI Premium or DFI NF4 SLI-DR. If you have a good bit of computer know-how, get the SLI-DR. If not, go with the ASUS board. For graphics, I would suggest getting 2 7800GT's. They are much better than even the 7800GTX 512MB.
yes, their XPS are rather good. especially their laptops... you would find it quite hard to transport it to a new case...
do you know what propreitary means? they have odd parts that you will not find in any other case, they have odd add-on boards and stuff. Even if you are good at this, Dells are a nightmare. HP is another example... their motherboards only fit in their cases...
lol he doesnt want a really expensive brand new pc. theres no point in upgrading that current pc. just wait for some more money and get a whole new pc.
