Spend your money on a new motherboard, then get a new GFX card

what are you going to use it for, gaming? PS?

Yeah your going to need a PCI-E board if you dont want to update in a weeks time again trust me the best card you can get is a ATi 9250 which is three generations old and the second from the bottom on the generation. Buy a Dfi Lanparty board and either a Nvidia Geforce 6600GT, 6800, 6800 Ultra, 7800GT, or 7800GTX, or a ATi Radeon 9800 Pro, X800, X800XT, X850XT PE, or X1800 card. The 7800GTX is the best one out.

Get any PCI-E motherboard, first. The Asus A8N-SLI Premium is a good choice and gives you the ability to have SLI. Of course, you'll need an AMD processor. If you want an Intel mobo, you're on your own to find that, but I recommend Newegg.com.

Next off, with however much money you have left, you have a couple choices.

If you've got $1000, get two 7800GTXs, or just one if you've only got $500. If you only have $250, get the 6800GT.

Whatever you do, you should probably get a new motherboard, as PCI's very outdated and both PCI and AGP are about to be replaced by PCI-E.

All I can tell you is to get ATi cards, they are the best.

I wont say they are the best

    Its personal preference ;)

yep as said go for a new mobo for the PCI-e capability - The ASUS A8N-SLI is a good choice or the MSI one

EIther the 6600GT - Good performance and worth your money

    OR

The 7800 which costs a bomb but gd quality and best on the market so far - But i prefer either the 6600GT or the 6800 :D

Actually the 7800 GTX is the best card out right now for gaming since it gets the highest fps.

X1800 is gonna be even better! I read somewhere that it almost beats 2 SLI 7800GTX's on its own!

I've always had ATI. They don't seem to work well with AMD boards. Just my opinon. My nvidia works fine for me, for the games I play.
