Well, I took my computer to the shop because the hard drive crashed and I didn't have the recovery disc. ( I couldn't find it. ) So when I got it back from the shop it had a new hard drive in it and everything. Ok so mostly every hour or so it will come up with a blue screen and it will say something about memory failure, I can not take a pic of it because it shuts down automatically after 2 seconds of seing the blue sreen . (Or it wont shut off so I have to do it manually by holding the Power button. Ok so when I turn it on the first thing it does when your start it is that you get a black screen that says blah blah ( Will write it down tomarrow or so ) and then under that it says hit F1 to continue or hit F2 to go to your setting ( something simular to "settings". ) So I press F1 and so i'm just waiting for the computer to load and theres a 50% chance i'll get that blue screen again because it happens when ever you get the blue screen the first time..And some times i'm doing some work and it gets my real real angry.I would appreciate if anyone could help or know what's wrong. Edit : Ok I got exactly what it says. Blue Screen : A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, Try changing video adapters. Check with your hardware vendor for any BIOS updates. Contact your system administrator or technical support group for further assistance. Black Screen : No Information Yet. And like i said, I will copy down exactly what it says tomarrow because i'm tired and i'm in bed right now. ( It's a laptop. ) Does anyone have any suggestions? ;( Currently : ONLINE
Hmm, I think it's a technical problem. I forgot to add in this : My dad took it to the shop when it started doing it, but when it did it back then it would shut down really fast, for example it would show the blue screen for a second and shut down. After he took it to the shop it doesn't do it anymore, instead of shutting down right away it permanatley stays there so I have to shut it down manually by pressing and holding the power button to the computer. Oh, and by the way..It's been happenning for a very lonog time. Lets say a few months.
have you tried replacing the ram? I saw this type of error a few times, meaning that your ram is bad. you could probably bring it into the shop and say you want new ram, and they could hook you up...
Open up your PC and see if your DDR RAM Slots are empty or not.....either that or corrupted.......Maybe the Shop took out your RAM for some reason.............but if your Computer Boots up this is unlikely....(If it gets to the Desktop and such)
that has happened to me b4 hmm lets see is it plugged in or unplugged? how often does it happen? and when it happens whats the exact error?
Well the laptop charger is plugged in if that's what you meen. And it happens randomly, I don't know when it happens..And sometimes when I put the charger in it does it..I don't know why. And I posted the exact error up top on my first post, the exact same replica.
My dad took it to the shop once, but all they did was just make it worse by letting it stay there so you have to shut it off manually, but I don't know if that's worse or not, the only thing that matters is that they didn't fix it. I don't know where my dad takes the comp to..He just tells me "This Guy". I got to tell him to take it to like comp USA and get some service on it. This error is really bugging me. And most of the people are saying it's my ram. That's like 50+ USD plus tax and about 5 bucks for the upgrade..But i'm not sure if it's the RAM for sure, so I guess the people at the shop have to check it out.
lol and he will say "ALWAYS BEWARE THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH!!!" but since its memorywise, its not exactly death...
hardware problem more then likey the new hard drive take it back and have them check it out or go to geek squad
Oh yeah, geek squad is great, if you like paying $200 for 15 mins of work. Before going to them, see if you can find someone you know to help you, or go to a humble little shop that can do it for a LOT less. I had a similar problem, but my brother got it working again.
