yepp thats what i was thinking <_< mhm but lets see what other have to say btw thnx for Reply my friend
I recon you gotta start in PS first because if you learn php or HTML and you dont have a template to practise coding then what will you do. Arbiter
Drawing is mainly a creative task. There's not much "learning" involved, it's mostly just experience. The coding is where most of the "work" is.
If you have a template and you dont know how to code what will you do then? Learn HTML, Learn Photoshop, be creative and study the different styles of websites so you know what people will be looking for.
- Learn XHTML/CSS - Learn how to make plain pages using just XHTML/CSS with small graphics - After, move on to making complete sites with Photoshop - Get comfortable with other programs besides Photoshop, such as Macromedia Flash, 3D Studio Max, etc. Stuff like that, be original, be creative, have fun. My best advice would be to start off simple and plain, then work your way up to larger and more complex designs. Always try to learn new techniques and learn the latest trends.
Add me to your msn if you want ([email protected]) and I will help you out a bit. I have some experience.
PHP is not for beginners. First a designer must learn to create templates using photoshop. From there they must learn how to code the template. Then maybe they can learn PHP.
I am a good distance down this road and I'll tell you now, it's hard. It's really f***ing hard. Have photoshop, and either EditPad or EditPlus. I prefer editpadlite. I have pro, and when it comes to coding theres very little benefit compared to lite. First things first. And, for the love of god, code with memory. Don't use dreamweaver or frontpage. That's noob sauce right there. Always use a basic text editor. Learn code here Learn HTML. First thing you EVER do is learn HTML. Once you can make clean, organized and well though out looking pages with just HTML (IE, no graphics whatsoever) THEN move on to PS. Learn PS here Make a simple and clean template, and code it so its able to be modified with HTML. Then move onto CSS. Get proficient with those, and pick either Javascript or PHP. I perfer PHP, its more flexible and almost anything you can do in JS you can do in PHP, and then some. Don't go all hardcore and shiznit () with PHP but learn as much as you can before your brain explodes. And as soldier91 said, PHP is NOT for beginners. It really gets down to the nitty gritty about how websites work. From there, make free stuff. Talk to friends, redesign your schools website if your in school. Make your own little website would be a great start. That way you can mess around on no ones watch. I'm not trying to pimp them out, but ive been using 1&1 Hosting and never had a problem. From there, make a small freelance buisness. Get a second domain name if you dont have one and enter the freelance field. A good idea is to search around for crappy websites and offer them a free redesign. Great way to get known. Also, if your young, you get alot of rep from the online community. I'm 13 and i've had too many people to count say they are literally amazed that i know what i know. I'll help you as much as you want, just talk to me on AIM or MSN and ill give you whatever you need.
Well... hehe, it depends on where you come from. If you already know C/C++ then php is easy as pie. HTML is pretty old and pointless now imo. There's not much you really do with HTML on a non-braindead website. Most non-reference php books teach you enough HTML to get by. I would certainly not dedicate much time to just learning pure HTML. Contrary to l337 beliefs, programs will dish out fairly optimized HTML code nowadays.
Start off with learning HTML, then start learning CSS, XML, XHTML, and PHP. I wouldn't really bother with graphical designs because I'm finding them to be more of a waste of time unless it directly relates to the content of the site. Such as a graphics community. Otherwise, a design will just take away from the content.
