I agree with MIS. Basketball sux GridIron sux Football (or.....*grimace* "SAWCER") is the sport you want.
Meh - I disagree bigtime. If you were gonna get stuck in, at least lose the armor - prove you're not big girl's blouses under all that protection. ^_^
1. Padding can actually induce injury rather than prevent it. The helmet's face mask can do a lot of damage to one's hands. 2. Padding gives players a longer lengevity. If I was to play football, I'd much rather be making a career out of it rather than just hoping I can get through the game without killing myself. 3. What's wrong with being safe? Would you make fun of me if I was to say that I'm trying to eat healthier to protect myself from disease later in my life?
Not to be mean, but college basketball sucks =P. Basketball in general is cool though, better to play then to watch, however. Hockey for the win.

Consider the additional zones of impact if you're hit in particular areas of the body. Also, in some cases do NFL players use spikes as opposed to studs in some sense? (Or is this a myth? ) Even so, I don't really see that much of a point of a sport that decides to try and come up with so many tactics to get past a defense just to try and get an oval-shaped ball over a line just to score a point or two. Can't you just get over there using a little more brawn sometimes? Sure, everybody has their own "niche" so to speak - mine happens to be football (sorry, sawker) and basketball - but I guess I'm just opinionated when it comes to sport and music, I s'pose. Oh, and point 3 you make - you make your own decisions - we have our own opinions - and some aren't afraid to make those heard. And... if you were to eat healthier to prevent disease, good on you. Now, pass the salt, will you? I wanna add a li'l sodium to my greens.
American Football isn't a sport??? Ben Graham played Australian Football (no pads) one of the toughest sports in the world and he said he wasn't for NFL contact, none of you could play football btw how did this go from Basketball to arguing about the most useless sport in the world (rugby i mean) and NFL Football
Your guess is as good as mine, man... but in a way I guess you could say that it's kinda random... Even so, I still think that the Tar Heels will romp through March Madness and beyond this coming season. I think I rest my case... ^_^
It started out with Collegeiate Basketball - but I think it just decided to take a very random turn from there...
