Well, I just upgraded the computer in my room and now it is time to plug in the wireless adapter and the router but it doesn't work.

I have a D-Link DI-624 router, and D-Link DCM-202 Modem, and a Linksys 802.11k Wireless Adapter. I plug the coax cable from the wall to the modem, then an ethernet cable from the modem to the right slot in the router then from the router to the computer with another ethernet cable. But when it is plugged in, I don't give out a signal even with the Wizard that helps you set up a connection. I don't even get internet on the compter with the modem.

If that didn't make sense, just tell me and I wil try to make more sense. Also tell me if you need more info or something. Thanks for any help.

type in your ip (80.192.14.91.) into your browser, disable firewall and any security on the site, (its pretty bad let another program do it) and it should find it.

and disable any firewalls running or virus scanners etc etc

EDIT: if it asks for password on it im sure its:

    Username : admin
    password : admin

Yeah, well the IP is different for each router and that is not the login because I changed it. I have already ran the wizard with no help. Any other ideas?

you have to set up your gateway, should be 192.168.0.1 or something. have windows manage your wireless stuff, not a 3rd party software..

can you be a bit less noobish?

go into network connections, and go to the properties of your wireless device. then make the gateway point to whatever your IP is on your wireless router. then it should connect.

you arsehole, why did you -rep me? that was a friggin joke, jeez... you people are waaaaaaaaaaaay too serious... gawd...
