    "celeron® cpu 2.20ghz 2.19ghz"

    Celeron is your problem!

    But really, slow computer/frequent freezes can be caused by other numerous factors, can you be more specific on your computer such as your remaining space on your drive(s), what OS, etc..

    Go to My Computer then single click the hard drive icon and to the left a pie chart should appear telling you the amount used and the amount you have free. Also, do frequent spyware and virus scans as this may be what causes it.

    Oook let's take this to the steps:

    1. To check your free space, go to My Computer, click on the drive (C:, D:, w/e). There is a status bar thing on the left, it should display some basic info about your drive. If it doesn't (which is a big problem if it does not), then you just need to right-click on the drive icon, select "Property" and then you can determine your free space based on a little diagram.

    2. OS = Operating System, not manufacturer. Anyway, XP is all I need to know.

    3. Also, what websites have you been visiting lately? Some sites install malicious softwares/plugins on to your computer without your approval. Get Spybot Destroyer or Ad-Aware to scan and get rid of them.

    4. Norton Anti-Virus should also be operated to scan for viruses, trojans, etc.

    5. BF2 uses a lot of RAM as far as I know, so basically you should check that if there are any programs running in the background when you start BF2. (This isn't an issue when you have 1 gig.)

    i'll post more...

    Oh yeah and 1024Mb of RAM.

    Any decent graphic card can support BF2, RAM is what matters the most in terms of performance instead of quality.

    Quality = Vid card.
    Performance = Ram.

    Why do people say BF2, it always confuses me. There's 2 games that can be called BF2, Battlefield 2 and Battlefront 2.

    And no, I do not know if you computer can run BF2, sorry.

    Oh yeah, Radeon 9200 is 128m, 9800+ is 256 to 512mb. Try getting a new processor or another memory stick.

    The processor has no real influences in game's performance, which many mistake that it does. Processor just calls an application and then run it through, RAM is what stores what processor wants it to store and then send it to processor for !@#$%...

    Besides, 2+ GHz is already good enough to run any given modern games if your computer is equipped with a decent Vcard and 1 gig of RAMs. (Other factors excluded, such as no free space, virus, etc.) His computer should be able to run BF2 at optimal setting.

    No that shouldn't be a problem. THe question, though, is that did you do anything bad to your computer like..downloading weird stuff from un-recognized sites? aka looking for malicious programs..
