all that does is take u back to an earlier date. the trojan will still be on your computer no matter how far u go back.

hmm... most people have said this but the only way i can think of atm is to run ur computer in safe mode by pressing f8 when computer is starting up then try a scan for the virus.if that doesn't work then go to the folder the .dll is in and delete that file ^_^

most people have said all this before but if you want real good help then go to www.geektogo.com and go to there forum and post up a highjackthis log and they will tell u step by step on how to remove the trojan :D

hope u gets rids of it :D

My friend just had this same trojan, and I was able to remove it ny downloading the Norton Removal tool, which it looks like you already have. Reboot in safe mode, and run that tool. If it doesn't delete it, it should give you the exact location and filename for the trojan. You can't delete it, but you can change the file extension on it, by right clicking, properties, uncheck read only. Then right-click it again, and change the file extension to .L31. This will act as a quaratine because each time the file is called at startup, it will not find it. You can't delete the trojan entirely because it reinstalls itself as you delete it. Got any more questions, pm me. ;)

Oh, and Vash... system restore will NOT remove any viruses, trojans, worms, or the like. It simply changes the system settings back as they were on a previous date. It does absolutely nothing for non-system files.

First wait man the remover tool should work. If not disable system resotre, go into safe mode and do a scan or run the remover. If that doesn't work, google it and it should say how to manualy remove, knowing that its a trojan I wouldn't recommend going online.

Just curious, but do you see a process with that name in your Task Manager (ctrl+alt+del)? Cause if it's active there then you can't delete it, but maybe you can if you terminate the process...

But 4nub1s allready said that the file would recover itself, so it probably won't help =/

HiJackThis - use it it's good, or Nortan removal tool. you could also call Nortan & talk to a technician (which probably wont help much unfortunately)

Btw just curious, why do all of you hate Nortan? someone even said its a 'virus-magnet' wtf?? I've had Nortan for as long as I can remember and I dont remember ever getting any virus/trojans with it. So just what is the deal here?

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe Norton is a power hog and it updates once every 24 hours. Kaspersky AV Pro updates every 3 hours.
