Well, I'm playing some games such as CS 1.6 and WC3 TFT and I lag more than usual? Why's that? Is there anyway of fixing that?
Got any more detailed information, computer specs or anything? I recommend so a spyware and anti-virus scan.
yes, more info please. Lag either means you computer or your Internet connection speed. I would suggest a virus and spyware test.
I have anti virus and adaware. So.. I doubt it's any of those. My connection is fine I'm guessing... So yeah... What do you need to know? I doubt I have a virus.. I've checked every week.
maybe your just playing on crappy servers or servers that are in another part of the world That could be affecting it
how much RAM? do you have enough to support those games? Hard drive space? have enough space so the files can be read, with space to spare CPU speed? Graphics card? have enouygh video RAM? thats what we need to know... you would also want several spyware killers on your computer to cover a bigger collection of spyweare. same with antivirus.
It's worked fine a few months ago. I have 512 ram... which is plenty for 1.6. So yeah, I'm not really sure what's happening, I play with no programs running in background and it still lags which is wierd...
you dont want more than one anti virus on your computer. I dont think anyone should need more unless they go to lots of warez sites and no-nos. Plus they scan eachother and see eachother as threats. Check the topic under this where hes asking for help.

I'm using AVG and Avast, just blocked each other, and i'm happy, sometimes AVG finds some that Avast can't, and vise versa
Its NOT a virus its a memory leak in the latest update of steam They recently updated the language files and something happened in the proccess dunno what but heres a solution Change Language to Korean(Adult) then update ALL games then go into counter-strike under that language after its updated then close and go back to english after all that it should be fine if it isnt check the other languages but after korean(adult) all was fixed for me
Go to download.com and download the trial od Tune up utilities 2006, 30 day fully fuctional trial, and it's a very good prgram, that has a registry mechanic.
do a resgity scan close all chat programs or any program that coccects to the intretnet and u should be good
