Hey guy's i was trying to do a port scan and for some reason it wasn't working. So i asked my mate to do it and it worked... at that point i was confused so i went to an irc channel and asked some questions. Apparently my routing table is screwed up... i would like some help in fixing this problem, thanks. this is the error message i get when trying to port scan with nmap 3.93. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- C:\Program Files\nmap-3.93>nmap -A -T4 203.10.121.50 Starting nmap 3.93 ( http://www.insecure.org/nmap ) at 2005-12-01 09:00 E. ******* Standard Time Nexthost: Failed to determine dst MAC address for target 203.10.121.50 QUITTING! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- C:\Program Files\nmap-3.93>nmap -sV -sX -P0 203.10.121.50 Starting nmap 3.93 ( http://www.insecure.org/nmap ) at 2005-12-01 09:00 E. ******* Standard Time Nexthost: Failed to determine dst MAC address for target 203.10.121.50 QUITTING! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I also tried port scanning with SuperScan 4.0 but it still wont work. i took a screenshot of my Routing Table. Any help would be appreciated and +rep and +creds or whatever you guys want if you help me resolve this problem thankyou!
Do you use proxies? The only things I know what to do would be to reset the IP settings and the DNS...Dont think either will help though..I'll keep lookin but dont know dudde
What do you mean reset the IP settings and DNS? whats a DNS got to do with my problem and explain what you mean by IP settings. thx
I just mean like flushing DNS and then re-registering it to reset it really, and then ipconfig/release and ipconfig/renew would like..not reset your IP really..I dont know how to explain it.. And neither would help you I beleive...they're jsut the only things I know how to do really for internet stuff..and ports is kinda of like internet... AHHH just forget about it no big deal sorry about confusion
I have already flushed my DNS, but it doesn't do anything cause this isn't a DNS problem but thanks for the help anyway.
you mean renew through the DHCP? it might help if we knew your setup like router? or are you proxying through your computer?
