Ok, some people such as myself believe in luck, and obviously some dont, but im wondering, is there really any way to prove it, or disprove it?
Does anyone have any ideas? And do you also believe in luck?

An example of my reasoning is that i play sports better when im wearing a certain silver chain, and worse when i wear a gold one.

I really don't know lol, you think you get play better when you wear your silver chain but play worse as you know you WILL play better so it's just possibly all in your head.

stupid post imo, there is a way to prove lucky, but imo, luck is a mental thing, of corse a gold chain ins't goin to change your game (you shouldnt wear chains in sports) in anyway but mental it might.

Luck? Maybe, the silver chain weighs less than gold so it won't weigh you down.

No actually the gold one is almost weightless.
In any case i only used this as an example, there are many different possibilities about the differences in performance.
I still havnt found a way to disprove it though :P

i'm tempted to say no, but at the same time part of me thinks there is such a thing as bad luck, or bad karma.

example, i have received one speeding ticket, 2 parking tickets, a 57 on a test, and found out that i missed a lab all within one week before

this is a common know thing. that anyone who wears a silver chain plays better than they would with a gold one.

Nothing to do with ability at all.

Some poeple are supersticious about crazy things. Its all in the head. You aint gonna play any better with green shorts as opposed to red ones..

Unless the red ones are stuck around your ankles with a gold chain tied to it.

This is like "nature or nurture???" debate, it isn't going anywhere...

However, I'd say that luck does not exist. If there is a chance of something happening, it will possibly happen, not probably happen. Probaby does NOT NOT NOT NOT equal possibly.

The chain thing is all in you head.

Although I do believe in a certain degree of luck. Making a half-court shot to win your school's basketball game is luck. You couldn't do it again if you tried. But I do not believe that there is something measurable out there that we call luck.
