A site that has a lot of good-looking females/males frequenting, matters not if it's a gaming or gfx forum - it will grow.

Graphics sites are over made IMO,If you check some free forum services like Proboards or IF most of them are graphics.Everyone thinks that because they are a fairly talented graphics artist that their graphics site will prosper, but often they live a month and when they can't get active members it's closed down. Not sure what you meant by plain "Support" but if it's for software or somthing most products have support boards allready.Gaming is probly the group with the most people in general but having a good gaming site is hard. You can't truely be an all in one gaming site off the bat and you have to go into it offering something useful or unique.

I disagree, it depends on people's interest, not the uniqueness your site has to offer. People only do what interests them.

Uniqueness count to an extent because with too many of the same type of sites people will stick with common ones and the others ussually fail. You can't go find a site with alot of members and then go make a site offering the same things and expect people to join as much as the original.

You have to provide a unique, generally free service.

Well well, sometimes people may not be interested in "uniqueness". Though, unique sites tend to prosper and last longer :P

graphics and stuff are always good to attract people to a forum, but I like one where there are areas to chill and talk about stuff, kind of off topic. Maybe a spam or debating forum, etc. Also a small sport sub forum couldn't hurt

I dont look for certain sites really..I just go to what I know of now. GR has basically anything so thats good, as do my own forums..and for extra computer help I'll go to g4techtv forums.

But I never search for any site specifically and theres no other sites I will end up going to, once I got one for one thing I stick with it
