THE PROBLEM HAS BEEN SOLVED I'm currently using Adobe Photoshop CS2 and again had another problem with the text. I was halfway doing a sig and I wanted to add another subtext below I a text I made. Suddenly it said " Could not complete your request because something prevented the text engine from being initialized. " I was just stunned , real stunned. I tried creating a text in another document and it failed. I accidentally closed the sig I was doing halfway and re-opened it. I remembered saving in PSD after I wanted to create the subtext. And something appeared saying " Some text layers might need to be updated before they can be used for vector based output. Do you want to update these layers now ? " I could either clicked " No " or " Update " Logic told me to click Update so I did. It ended up saying " Could not complete your request because there is not enough memory (RAM). Again , shocked. I tried re-opening it and clicking " No " , but nothing happened of course. Later I tried opening it again , and it said " This file contains file info data which cannot be read and has been ignored. " I'm now in a huge dilemma and do not know what to do ... ;( ;( ;(
Could be a lot of problems. But due to the error message my first assumption would be that you had been running your computer for awhile and had opened lots of programs either previously or still had them running in the background and they had eaten up a lot of ram. So my suggestion is try restarting or turning off your comp for a bit. You should just have to restart but letting everything cool down for awhile never hurts. Also I would get a program that monitors your ram use and such. My suggestions is Cacheman. I'll post a link in a few minutes. Have to remember who makes it.
You only have 256? Yes, thats a little low... I would suggest getting another 256 stick if you know what how to install it. If not then just ask the guys where you buy it to do it for you. http://www.outertech.com/index.php?_charisma_page=downloads Just select Cacheman and download it. Also, try closing all other stuff while using Photoshop. It eats up quite a bit of memory. -- If you want I can find some RAM for you. Like, link for some cheap RAM that you could get.
I;m using a desktop PC though ... Is there any other way to solve this problem ? I could delete programs which uses up RAM ...
true you hve little ram maybe restart go to adobe.com they have a help page with a list of error msg and what they mean. i got a ton of errors and just went to theyre site

I uninstalled almost every game I have on my PC .. except the one's I'm playing. I removed around 5GB of stuff a few hours ago. Oh cool , finally it worked !
