Im looking for some cool apps for my New PC, i can get whatever i want now as my PC belongs to me! and i was wondering what cool software you reccomend? im looking for stuff like firewalls, GFX stuff, Media Players, Anti-Virus/Spyware, and stuff like that. what do you reccomend to me?
I would say keep it to a minimum. The more you install the slower it will go. Only get the essential stuff you use alot, ANti-virus of your choice free or paid ( I use Norton), anti-spyware Pretty good one here, PS (of course), and a decent version of a media player (your choice as well) I use WMP personally. As for a firewall, Zonealarm is pretty good from what I hear about it, I dont use a software one personally.

Well firewalls are a big concern. I have used Norton Firewall since i have found it to be the easiest to work with. It is also not a resource hog like the AV. As for the AV i would suggest NOD32. IT is very effective and uses less resources than explorer or anything i have seen. NOD32 Homepage It does cost some money but is worth every penny. As for the rest i use WMP with the real alternative and quicktime alternative plugins. That way i can watch real player or quicktime files all within WMP. I have found that Divx player is nice also. GFX stuff i use Creative Suite 2 from Adobe but i think that CS2 will do just fine.
I actually found Sygate to be very good. It is not resource hogging. I use AVG and Avast for AVs, just block them from checking each other, and its fine. For music, I use Winamp. I use PS CS2 for graphics.
